Cub Scouts

The Cub Scouts is a part of the Boy Scouts of America. Any boy in grades 1 thru 5 may join.

  • First graders are Tiger Cubs and attend meetings with a parent and learn about the basics of scouting and their community.
  • As second graders they become a Wolf Cub. During this time they will learn more about scouting as well as developing their sporting skills.
  • The next rank is the Bear Cub. The scout continues learning scout values as he develops his independence.
  • Fourth and fifth graders become Webelos (WE’ll BE LOyal Scouts.) They work on outdoor skills they will use when they become Boy Scouts.
  • The Cub Scout Pack at St. John’s was formed in 1992 by Rev. Ken Reidenbach, Doug Travis, Sr., and Joe Sigmon. They have won numerous quality awards and have camped in such locations as the USS Yorktown in Charleston Harbor and The Lost Sea, a cave in Sweetwater, TN.
